Kiryk’s Quest
Days and nights pass and life goes on. How could you answer the simple question “How was your day?” Do you have to do something remarkable to make the basic day a good day? If you don’t do much at all besides sleep and relax was your day bad? These people were like those of Romans, the culture and beliefs almost identical. Maybe it was because the Valyines lived two days walk from the outskirts of Rome. The Valyines was a tribe that consisted less than 500, among them was a young man who wanted to be recognized for his incredible ability unlike any.
Kiryk was the age of 19 and felt that he was far more superior than any o f the Romans who were known for their strength. Kiryk was different in the way that his strength was indescribable. As a child he would carry builders twice the size of himself and throw them into lakes and streams to see how big of a splash they would make. Kiryk had heard of the Roman ways and thought that common to his own except for one exception. Wrestling was a term that he had never heard before, but with some help he learned what it was. This intrigued him and sparked and idea to get recognized. He would go to Rome and challenge the greatest of champions to wrestle and he believed that he could beat any who accepted. He gathered food and water and traveled the two day walk to Rome. When he arrived he found buildings elegance and strength. He found a man of great power and asked of the wrestling, he had been accompanied by this man to the coliseum were wrestling was held. Two men grappled in front of him and in front of a stadium full of viewers. When a winner had been declared he had stood from his seat and found his way to the wrestler who had won and made the announcement that if any one could beat him at wrestling then he would become their slave. The winner was eager because he was larger in body then Kiryk but Kiryk had won the battle. Kiryk was able to use his amazing strength to conquer any challenger and soon became the strongest warrior of Rome but was unknown to most. He was only known as the Wrestler and too the day of his death no one was able to defeat him.
